The Bloomington Watercolor Society scholarship will be awarded annually to one MCCSC high school senior who is pursuing a degree in visual fine arts, arts education, architecture, or design from an accredited college, university, or school of design. The recipient must graduate from an MCCSC high school with a minimum 3.0 GPA before July 1. Eligible expenses of the scholarship are art supplies related to the degree. The student will also have the opportunity to have a solo exhibit in a local gallery with the assistance of the Bloomington Watercolor Society.

The Lexie Mills Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from any MCCSC high school.  Applicants should have satisfied all requirements for graduation, be in good academic standing, and exhibited a commitment to community and school engagement throughout their high school careers.  Eligible expenses for the scholarship include tuition, fees, and textbooks for any accredited 2 or 4 year institution of higher education in the United States of America.

The Greg Mongold Memorial Math Scholarship is awarded annually to MCCSC high school seniors pursuing a post-secondary course of study in a math related field.  Seniors graduating from any MCCSC high school are eligible to apply.  Applicants must have satisfied all requirements for graduation from their respective high school and be in good academic standing with a minimum grade point of 3.0. Applicants must plan to pursue a major in a math related field from a 4-year accredited institution of higher education.   Priority will be given to students who plan major in math, math educationn and plan to teach after receiving a diploma.  Financial need will be considered when applications are evaluated.

IUCU/FMCCS Leadership Award $100April 5, 2017

This award will be given to a graduating senior excelling in character, leadership, and service among their peers or in the community.  Particular attention should be given to those students who possess leadership qualities but who do not necessarily participate in highly visible activities.  The sponsors of this program are interested in presenting these awards to students who will not receive other awards.  These awards are co-sponsored by the Foundation of Monroe County Community Schools and the IU Credit Union.  A representative of the IU Credit Union would like to participate in the awards ceremony.

The New Horizons Scholarship is worth $1000, and is applied only to tuition costs and fees.  Scholarship recipients will be awarded $500 for the fall semester and $500 for the spring semester.  The scholarship is valid only for the 2016 - 2017 school year, and does not include summer 2016 or summer 2017.  You must enroll as a full-time student (12 credit hours) to receive the funds.  You must be pursuing an Associate degree or a Technical Certificate.

Crane Scholarship:

All graduating high school seniors who meet the following requirements are eligible to apply:

  • Applicants must be members of Crane Federal Credit Union for a minimum of three months prior to the date of the scholarship award.  The applicant must be the primary member on the account.

Mitch Daniels Early Graduation Scholarship (MDEGS)

The Indiana Commission for Higher Education (CHE) administers the Mitch Daniels Early Graduation Scholarship program (MDEGS).  Students may qualify if they will graduate from a public high school in three (3) years or less without attending any part of grade 12. They must then be enrolled within 5 months and in good standing at a CHE approved Indiana institution of postsecondary education.   The scholarship is a one-time $4,000 award.  The 2015/2016 MDEGS application, along with a list of eligibility requirements, is now available at<>.

The deadline for submitting the 2015-2016 Mitch Daniels Early Graduation Scholarship application is September 4, 2015.  The 2015-2016 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required to be filed to be considered for the MDEGS and must also be submitted September 4, 2015. Please note that, to be considered for other state financial aid in the 2015-2016 academic year, including the 21st Century Scholarship, Frank O’Bannon Grant and National Guard Supplement Grant, the 2015-2016 FAFSA filing deadline is March 10, 2015.
Next Generation Hoosier Educator Scholarship  up to $7500December 31, 2016 

The Next Generation Hoosier Educator Scholarship The Indiana Commission for Higher Education is pleased to announce the Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship, offering up to $7,500 each year of college for high-achieving Hoosier students who commit to teaching in Indiana for five years after graduation. The scholarship application will open on November 1 and close on December 31. All interested students should have the following items prepared before attempting to complete the application:

Indiana Association of School Psychologists
 $500March 1, 2017 

The Indiana Association of School Psychologists is pleased to continue the IASP High School Scholarship, which is awarded annually to a graduating high school senior who has an interest in pursuing a career in the field of psychology. 

To be considered for this scholarship the candidate must be accepted by a college for enrollment, be interested in pursuing a career in the field of psychology, and be in good academic standing.

The application postmark deadline is March 1. Applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Selection Committee. The committee will consider many factors in reaching their decision, including the completeness of the application; the applicant’s experience and interests; the applicant’s personal statement and accomplishments; the applicant’s letters of recommendation; and the applicant’s degree of scholarship.

The IASP High School Scholarship is for the amount of $500, paid directly to the bursar at the college the student will be attending. The scholarship recipient will be notified on or before March 30, and will be recognized at the IASP Fall Conference.

During a Student's Junior Year

Junior year is when the application process<> to the United States Air Force Academy truly begins. Students will start by filling out the Pre-Candidate Questionnaire, which becomes available online March 1 every year and starts the application process. When a student is ready to begin the application, they can visit the Pre-Candidate Questionnaire online<>.

Between March 1 of their junior year and December 31 of their senior year, they must also request nominations<> from their state’s congressional representative(s) or other designated nominators.

The United States Air Force Academy strives to create a highly qualified and truly diverse cadet wing at the Academy each year. Campus Tours

If you have students who are interested in pursuing an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy and plan to visit the campus, they may wish to participate in an escorted tour and admissions briefing. Offered during the academic year to middle school, high school, and post-high school students, tours can help individuals gain a deeper understanding of the United States Air Force Academy environment. Escorted tours are conducted regularly throughout the academic year and require reservations 14 days in advance.

We also offer Game Day tours. After the tour, participants will be allowed to purchase discounted tickets to cheer on our AF Falcons for football, hockey, and men’s and women’s basketball.
