At the Career Center, we offer courses in a variety of career fields for high school students as part of their high school curricula. These courses are listed by the Indiana Department of Education as part of its Career Pathway Initiative. Our programs also reflect employment needs of the communities we serve. Program content is updated regularly through the use of local advisory committees, whose membership includes dedicated professionals working in the various occupational fields.
Our school is designed to meet a variety of future plans. Some of our graduates do put their skills to work right after graduation. However, a growing number of our graduates go on to attend two and four year colleges and universities and are thankful for their Career Center experience. Why? Well, the Career Center not only helped them make an informed decision about their career choice, but also provided them with free college credits that wil now save them time and money in obtaining their degree.
Congratulations to HHCC Faculty, Staff, and Students!
Hoosier Hills Career Center has been recognized as one of ten career centers around the state that passed all eight performance indicators on the Department of Workforce Development CTE Dashboard. HHCC is one of the highest performing Career and Technical Centers in Indiana! Each year the Department of Workforce Development measures indicators in areas such as: placement, graduation rates, technical skills attainment, language arts and math academic achievement, and career and technical education participation.
MCCSC values the diversity in our schools and community. All students’ experiences and perspectives are assets.
