Greg Chaffin, Guidance Counselor at Bloomington High School North, received the "School Counselor of the Year Award" from the state of Indiana. The School Counselor of the Year Award honors school counselors at all levels of education. The counselors are judged based on their experiences with advocacy, professional development, data collection, goal setting and overall programming. Higher scores are given to counselors who have excellent written communication skills, fully describing their involvement in each of the categories and include counselor-initiated interventions and programs. Also included in the judging process are recommendations given by administrators, colleagues, community members, parents, and/or students.
MCCSC values the diversity in our schools and community. All students’ experiences and perspectives are assets.
