Fairview Elementary Tutoring Program Continues to Grow
Fairview Elementary has partnered with the Indiana University Herbert Scholars and the Cox Legacy Scholars to provide tutoring and mentoring to students since 2013. The program has continued to grow each year since its inception. The program pairs each student with an IU scholar where they spend time working on areas of growth for the child in the areas of both language arts and math. From this program IU scholars and Fairview students have sustained relationships even after the student has finished elementary school and moved on to middle school. Whitney Thomas, Fairview Student and Family Advocate, notes, "We are very excited to continue our partnership with the Indiana University Scholars." You can view a recently overview of the program produced by the Indiana University program below.
