Current MCCSC Health Screenings & Clinics
Vision Screenings are completed every Fall for students in the following grades:
Pre-K, Grade 1, Grade 3, Grade 5 and Grade 8-Provided by the IU School of Optometry
MCCSC registered nurses may conduct additional vision screenings for students that have vision concerns throughout the school year.
Hearing screenings:
Preschool and grades K, 1, 4, 7, and 10- Provided by MCCSC Speech and Hearing
Pathologists
Immunization Clinics:
Flu vaccines and Covid-19 vaccines are provided by the Monroe County Public Health Clinic

IU Health Community Health Clinic Vaccination Clinic for students in grades 5/6 and 11/12 — 2026 Dates:
The IU Health Community Health Clinic will be hosting a a vaccination clinic for students in grades 5/6 and 11/12. Please check your email to view letters with instructions on registration. If you are unable to register online, please reach out to Acacia Axsom MSN, RN by email or phone; aaxsom@mccsc.edu or 812-330-7714 ext 53078. All registration must be completed no later than March 11, 2026 in order for your student to receive vaccinations at school.
