The Monroe County Community School Corporation values the learning, growth, and engagement that takes place during the elementary years. During this time, we have three main goals; to provide students a solid foundation for learning the core subjects, to help students explore their environment and community, and to foster a student's interest in lifelong learning. Through quality instruction provided kindergarten through sixth grade, our students gain the knowledge they need to be successful at the secondary level. Following a Professional Learning Community (PLC) model, our educators come together to collaborate, discuss, and review data as it relates to student achievement. As a result of this work, teachers identify differentiated strategies and best practices to ensure the success of all students.
Our elementary instruction aligns with the Indiana Academic Standards.
