Phase 3: Strategic Action Update to the Board & Community - September Update

Celebrating Scholastic Esports at MCCSC

A ribbon cutting ceremony for Scholastic Esports programs was held on September 17th. Five secondary MCCSC schools opened state of the art arenas for competition and academic study. These programs were made possible by generous support from an IDOE 3E grant and the hard work of MCCSC teachers and staff.

An Esports Computer Science Pathway is being offered at Bloomington North and Bloomington South. State Champion, Batchelor, also offers an Esports production class.

Jackson Creek, Bloomington Graduation School, The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship and Tri-North are involved at the club level and have new spaces of their own.

Childs-Templeton Engagement

An ongoing series of sessions have been held for teachers, parents, and community members to share their thoughts, ideas, and concerns regarding planning for a successful school merger. In this phase, we have held:

  • 2 Childs-Templeton Advisory Team Meetings
